COURSE OBJECTIVES

The aim of this course is to teach participants techniques of performing different African traditional and contemporary dance styles.

• Dance movement/choreography/techniques;
• Dance rhythms/styles;
• Song in African dance;
• Dance Costumes; and
• Creation of a dance piece.
