COURSE OBJECTIVES

The aim of the course is to introduce the participants to the basic principles and techniques of screen writing.

KEY TOPICS

• The writer and the story;
• Developing a good story;
• Setting up the story;
• The principles of screen play;
• What must be considered in writing a screenplay?;
• Building and writing the screenplay;
• Screenplay format; and
• Project: Writing a 5 minutes screenplay.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

• Apply the acquired skills in creating and developing a three scenes screenplay.
