LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of the course participants will be able to:
- • Interpret and apply national petroleum laws, regulations, and institutional mandates to effectively manage oil and gas contracts in a transparent, ethical, and compliant manner.
- Plan, procure, negotiate, execute, monitor, amend, and close petroleum contracts in accordance with best practices, ensuring value for money and alignment with national objectives.
- Administer petroleum fiscal terms, cost recovery mechanisms, cash calls, and payment systems to enhance revenue assurance, financial accountability, and economic benefits to Tanzania.
- Establish and use KPIs, audits, HSE controls, and risk mitigation measures to monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and international standards.
- Identify potential claims and disputes early, apply dispute prevention techniques, and effectively manage dispute resolution processes using negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and case-based decision-making.
