COURSE OBJECTIVES

The purpose of the training is to enhance instructors’ understanding of innovative curricula such as competence-based curriculum and equip them with the modern pedagogical and technological skills for teaching and learning in higher education

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

• Design and implement competence-based programme and courses in higher education
• Use modern pedagogical approaches such as problem-solving for teaching and learning in higher education
• Integrate modern technological knowledge and skills in teaching and learning across subject domains in higher education
• Design competence-based assessment in higher education

TARGET PARTICIPANTS

This training targets 50 university instructors of all ranks who have never had intensive training in the areas of innovative curricula, pedagogy and educational technologies. Such group may be diverse in their background knowledge, subject of specialization and academic disciplines but may have a common goal of updating their curricula, pedagogy and technology knowledge
