COURSE OBJECTIVES

The objective of this training is to build knowledge and capacity in monitoring and evaluation practices in oil and gas projects

• Basic concepts of Energy, oil and gas projects, and monitoring and evaluation
• Key steps in undertaking M&E with emphasis on the establishment of a Logical Framework and Indicators Selection
• Approaches, Tools, and Techniques for monitoring and evaluation
• Approaches, Tools, and Techniques for monitoring and evaluation.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

• Developed a critical understanding of the overall project management cycle (focussing on M&E).
• Developed an understanding of different approaches to project monitoring and evaluation, including the strengths and weaknesses of the different approaches.
• Developed a critical understanding of the role of participatory techniques in project management and monitoring.
